It's not a good idea, for safety considerations, to use this stove for 
cooking while under way sailing.

Yes, you can, and we have. The stove will work on any level surface.

It goes without saying that if you are sailing you would want to use the 
stove in its secure and designed place in the galley counter.

Caesar,

You can opt to use it in it's original counter recess, right? Is it 
especially tricky to put in place?
