[Rhodes22-list] Outboard repair question

Out of the blue. But check to make sure that none of you fuel connectors are leaking (not gas but sucking in air). Even the slightest leak will cause severe starting and idle problems.

Let's back up a step. Was the motor ever running for you normally? What  
changed or what did you do to it that caused this situation?

I have the bench manual and it was  talking about the "throttle adjustment
knob" on the tiller. Well, mine  isn't connected to anything and just spins.
That may have something to do  with it.
