Blanche, ask away!   People enjoy sharing.  If someone replies in a surprising way you can (a) find the humor, (b) try to reason, (c) reply angrily or (d) ignore it.  You can reply by letter if you like.  The list came through a rough election and seems to be in a readjustment period.

Herb,

Thank you for the reassurance.  It was getting a little hot in here.  I wondered if I had said something to get people upset.  Elle is fiesty, but anyone who has lost a friend, lover, and breadwinner gets my support.

In truth, I have no Rhodes, so maybe I have no right to say anything on this list.  But I have already learned things from listening, and would like to be able to ask questions.  

The one time I was out on a Rhodes 22, it was such a new experience!  I was confused about what was going on.  The other people in the boat all knew what to do and when to do it.  All I could do was stay out of the way.  No time to ask questions.

Hope its OK if I hang around and soak up some "know-how".
