[Rhodes22-list] motor lift

Rob,

I feel the same about the price, at least without a discount sale or coupon.
They are only about $10 less at Defender. They also have a smaller, lighter
(2-stroke, 115 lbs) unit for a mere $160! I guess it really comes down to
how bad a back you have and whether saving a couple of bucks is worth the
pain. Some folks do not have the option due to disability.

I prefer not to rely on complex mechanical systems (especially electrically
driven ones) for basic boat safety and operation. In an emergency, anyone
on my R22 can always LOWER the engine (maybe with a bit of a bang) into
operating position and motor to safety. The same may not be possible with
sophisticated mount systems. KISS philosophy.
