[Rhodes22-list] Boat Name Letter size and placement

Ok Ron.  I will have a look, what issue is the article in?

I notice you are looking for an easier way to raise your motor.  Some lubrication in the tracks and pulleys made it a more pleasant task for me.  Tilting the motor requires a bit of acrobatics, but I look at it as exercise helps.

By the way, I just got back from a short sail with a buddy of mine on his boat,  55 degree, winds about 10 mph, ( felt a lot colder) and lots of fun.  It took three of us to sail the boat, an old 1973 Aquarius.  It makes me appreciate the simplicity and soundness of the Rhodes.

Have fun.

Caesar,

Before returning your Garmin 76 CSX check out the review by Practical
sailor. They just rated it as the best of the handhelds

Hi Cowie,

I bought a Contest 101 racing compass by Plastimo and had Stan install it on
the port side cabin bulkhead. I can read and steer by it easily form the
stern seat. It can also be read from the cabin. I had a mast-head antenna
installed by Stan as well. For VHF radio, I went with the Uniden UM 625 fix
mount and installed it myself, I later bought a West Marine vhf 55 hand
held. I have a Garmin 76Cx hand held GPS, but I'm thinking of returning it
for a another brand that accepts software from Navionics. Garmin appears to
lock you into using their software only. I will be installing a Fishfinder
Chartplotter, for I enjoy reading the depth of the water as I sail along, it
adds to the fun. No stereo as yet, but I am sure it would enhance the
experience, anchored in some quiet cove somewhere.

Cesar:

Good looking boat. I like your name size and placement and also like the
location and format for the boat numbers. Bu the way what compass, gps if
any, vhf radio if any and or stereo did you go with?
