[Rhodes22-list] chewing rope/ the R22 CBcap dilemma

Lou,

Can you not get 1" flat aluminum 'rod' at HD, 36-48" lths and affix between the bolt end, washer and the neoprene.  When bolted it should stay more rigid and can be drilled with relative ease at each bolt point.  I'm not suggesting that 46 of them thangs is easy...
