Hank,
You have a point.  I think part of the differences is where the line
attaches to the board.  From stuff I keep around for future reference,
notice the different attachment points in these two photos. - rob


Is this the diamond board?  This looks like the one Ron posted which
suggested that perhaps it does not need to be lowered this far.

Rob,

Wouldn't the pulley system require more rope, not less?  If you can pull
it
up and down with only a foot of rope, it doesn't seem to me that it is
traveling very much no matter which system you are using.
