We drove past the stadium just to make sure there wasn't something going on
to celebrate...makes the heat almost bearable...well, for a couple of hours
at least...having to water everything or it fries in a matter of hours in
the sun...

Yeah, I was having a tough week but found myself laughing like a little girl
at the end last night.  Then I searched the radio for more postgame coverage
-- didn't want it to end.  Ended up staying up 'til 1:00 because I was so
excited.  Got a coat of bathroom sealer on some new tile, as a matter of
fact.

Only 72 days until kickoff!

Hope your summer is going well.  This super dry, super hot is for the birds.
Feels like we live in Texas or Mexico.

Glad you got to meet one of my guys...most of them hang out in bars, glad
one of them is getting paid for it...sorry you didn't get his name since I

Oh Thena, I almost forgot..

 

The admiral and I went into a nice wine and liquor store in Slidell on
Saturday afternoon to pick up a bottle of bourbon for my dad.  The place had
an area to one side with a bar where they serve drinks and appetizers.
Being undecided on which bourbon to order, we went to the bar and ordered a
couple of drinks.  We were the only ones in the bar, so we chatted with the
bartender for a little while.  Nice kid.  Didn't get his name, but it turns
out that he's one of your charges.  I'm not sure if he or if the admiral was
more surprised when I dropped his housemother's name.

 

He said that when they head out for the night, you tell them to do anything
they like, but "just don't become famous."  I like that.
