Yes Burt,

I would very much to see your set up.  Sounds interesting.  Does it interfere at all with your genoa sheets adjustments, and how far back soes your genoa track runs?

I hope the following is of some help: I installed over 5 years ago 1 inch  by
3 foot aluminum tracks 1/2 inch away from the genoa tracks. My bimini slides
on nylon sliders with locks fore and aft. Easily permitting me to provide
cabin  entrance cover, central cockpit or helm cover as desired. It also has
provided  me the storage option of cabin top or backstay/pulpit storage.  It's
adjustment time is little more than a minute. The fore and aft straps I replaced
by shock cord of sufficient length and strength to maintain my various
position  changes.
If anyone is interested, I will post photos when Golden Snooch comes  out of
hibernation, sheds her cocoon and is dockside. That hopefully will be in  4
weeks.

w relaxed in the hammock is me.  Stan installed the  bimini
without putting it on the Genoa track.  It's never been in the  way, but you
do need to remember to run the sheets inside or outside the  bimini supports
when running the sheets between the shrouds.

Using the  Genoa tracks makes sense to me for flexibility.  I can't think of
any  problems, but maybe someone who has done it can tell you of  any
negatives.

I don't like drilling holes in my boat but Stan  installed it in the ideal
location.  When deployed it matches up  perfectly with the open poptop.  When
stored it leans just right against  the aft end of the poptop or lays well on
the closed poptop.

I  rarely use my bimini, but it really adds to the ambience of your  cockpit.

p.s.  Nice goatee in the picture at your sailing club, but  doesn't look  very
military.
