[Rhodes22-list] Proof of authenticity (STAN SPITZER I DO NOT OWN A "RIG" RATHER A 71 RHODES CONTINENTAL)

John,

I am really sorry to see you so upset - life is too short for these kind of
misunderstandings to cause such a reaction. (I am working on it but so far
have not been Knighted so am not entitled to your having to address me as
"Sir")

I don't ever recall ever saying you did not own a Rhodes or a Triad trailer.
Was it my use of the word "Rig" that caused all this damage? Rig simply
means (at least to me) the complete package of boat and trailer and maybe
motor. It in no way was meant to imply or, to use your word, "insinuate"
that you did not buy a Rhodes sailboat or a Triad trailer. (Nor was it my
understanding this was even the issue we were haggling about) However, for
historical interest, your boat was one of the first boats ever built for us
and may one day have extra value for that very reason. It was built in
Wichita KS by Lofland Sailcraft, long since out of business, probably
because they did not learn how to be, as you define us, "extortionists".

Come on John, relax. You are missing GB's issue and getting upset over
issues that never were.

Let us know if you need anything from GB. You are grandfathered in, having
purchased your boat prior to our grand idea of the GB Certificate of Support
program to help us keep up the value of your Rhodes by keeping it a boat
still in production.

Your favorite boat builder,

stan
