Have any other headsails?  Mine is a hank on jib that attaches to the forestay.  I'll look at my pop top this weekend and see if I have something similar. - rob

The sail came with the boat and I have no idea what it is. I will take
pictures Saturday.

The holes are the ones on the aft side perpendicular to the water. they look
like there was a cleat on each side. They are spaced exactly 1.5" apart. I
thought it was for handles to pull the poptop back when closing it up for
the day.
