Good question!

Fretless is now in the side yard awaiting the completion of several tasks.

Boatyard did the bottom paint a couple of weeks ago but then we took
off for a long weekend visiting kids in NC followed by a week of
catching on office work.

Yesterday ordered a new Davis Mega Light for the masthead. The cover
for the old one (which was old) disappeared over the winter so we
decided just to replace the whole unit. It hadn't been working
reliably but Fred traced that problem to the connector.

Also ordered twist fasteners for our new poptop enclosure. Our old
one was getting really ratty and we were really impressed by the new
ones Stan had at Annapolis so we bit the bullet and bought that over
the winter. Decided to try the twist fasteners because we use it so
much and some of the damage to the old one was from snaps pulling
through the cloth. They were expensive but we ordered them from
Sailrite which had them for less than half of everyone else. We'll
report on them after a season of use.

Next task, while we are waiting for those parts to come in is install
the new main (with vertical batten) that we also ordered from Stan
over the winter. I printed out all the instructions from the list
that I saved over the years and we'll see if we can figure it out.
Just waiting for a warmer day with less wind for that.

Also want to get a new coat of varnish (actually varnish-like
product) on our 6 pieces of wood in the cockpit and maybe a couple of
coats of real varnish on the tiller. Also want to restain the sides
and sill of the companionway and clean up our wood interior.

Once we get the sail and masthead light done she can go in the water
though it would be nice to get the varnishing done while the boat is home.

My guess is we'll be ready to go in the water next weekend or the
week thereafter if the weather improves some - it's 47 out there
right now and gusting to 15 but the afternoon is taken up with other
responsibilities. Not complaining - yet - at least the snow and rain
are gone and the ground is finally drying out.

Looking forward to a season of sailing.
