[Rhodes22-list] Mast raising land or water

Mike,

The innovations I described should have been credited to Stan and GB because that's where they came from! The mast bail allows me to leave the aft lower stay connected all the time and so all I have to do is put the extenders on the forward lowers which is simple. The mast bail is sturdy and just clips on and off so is quick and easy. This set-up can be ordered from Stan. The fitting on the bow rail for the mast I believe may come standard on new boats now, and is another GB innovation that makes it easy to attach the mast when trailering. The fitting is part of the bow nav light bracket. Got this from Stan but had to get it welded on top of the exisitng bracket.

Don't have pics of either but will try to take some and post.

> You know that GB now uses a bail, attached to the mast front, rather than attaching the crane to the aft lower stays. They might send you one if you ask. I can assure you it is kinder to the spreader bracket, which will become distorted with repeated use, until it has to be replaced by Dwyer at $40+.
