Hello folks,

There is one question that this broke potential Rhodes 22 owner has not seen
an answer to, and that is this, is there a way to but the certificate
post-sale. The text of the certificate seems to be pretty specific, that
the certificate much come with the boat when it is purchased.

There are a couple of Rhodes 22 sales that happen outside the pervue of GB
each month, and in reality they represent one of my best bets for getting a
Rhodes 22 anytime in the next decade. Sure Stan might have one for around 2
grand when I have 2 grand to spend, but the chances are pretty slim.

Every single person that I have spoken with about these boats has had one of
2 responses:
1) Stan who?
2) I have a cheap boat to sell, I have never talked to the Stan and I am not
going to start now.
Given this, the chances that I can get a CoS to come with the boat in these
circumstances are pretty slim. Also given my circumstances, it is likely
that I would purchase one if I have the opportunity...$100 (5% of $2000) for
access to discounted parts and the manufacturer's ear when I need advice
sounds like a pretty good deal to me.

Anyway, I will discover the answer to that when I call Stan to ask him where
to send the check if I ever buy a boat of Craigslist. If he will not take
it at that point it is really no skin off my nose because the alternative is
buying a boat that is out of production and therefore has no manufacturer
support either. If that ends up being my course I can only hope that there
is a boat owner's board as helpful as this one!

Take care!
Eric
