Subject: Re: [Rhodes22-list] Stern Rail Rigging?

Chris,

You may need to magnify this picture to see the detail:

The mainsheet is connected to the traveler bar.
The traveler bar is connected on both sides to the two backstays.
The backstays are bolted to the top white part of the transom.

You don't really need a stern rail. I use mine for fishing rod holders,
ladder, and stern light; none of which get used much. Also attached to it
are drink holders and broom handle holders (tiller locks) which get used
everytime I go out. Since I use the drink holders everytime I go out, the
stern rail does keep me from falling overboard.

Good luck!

when i purchased my Rhodes it did not have a stern rail. but from what i can
see from pictures it looks like the boom rigs to the stern rail. can someone
possibly describe how this is done and if it matters if i get new rails if
everything goes in its original place?

thanks

Chris G
