I have "Chapman's Piloting  Seamanship and Boat Handling"  by Elbert S. 
Maloney.  I have 63rd edition(1999). There are newer editions. I have 
seen a 66th edition on Amazon.

One day after coming off the water feeling like I had a target on the 
side of my boat I went in the local marina's(mostly power boats) ships 
store to see if there were any books on seamanship. Surprise, there were 
none available. That explained a lot.  I thought of donating one with a 
lot of pictures. But, then there is that glasshouse thing....
