[Rhodes22-list] Doyle UPS Price Has Increased

David,

I love my 175% and will likely replace it with another 175% but on a
close reach it's probably most efficient in a 3 to 5 knot wind. I use
it beyond 5 knots because it looks and feels impressive but I can
usually sail faster if it's reefed.

It really shines on a reach or downwind with a whisker pole but I
suspect that you'll get more practical use from a UPS.

David,
Here's my take on your question.

At less than 10 knots, the UPS will be marvelous running, broad
reaching or near reaching. It won't let you sail close hauled but it
should do everything else. It's more work to set up but it works
wonderfully once it is. Don't do anything else until you try it.
