Thanks for your kind words. The world is a better place if I stay behind the camera as then I am not wreaking havoc somewhere else...;^)
The creek is behind my house....my boat is on the dock you see peeking out at the left....it does not freeze often, only when we have a week or two of freezing temps.....and that is not a common occurrence....out here on the Northern Neck of VA we usually have slightly higher temps as the water tends to moderate the air temp. But that usually means we'll get ice rather than snow.....
(The Northern Neck is between two rivers, the Rappahannock & the Potomac. If you look at my website, you will see a map). 
It is not secluded, as there are houses all along the creek, most of whom have docks & boats.But is is relatively quiet.
