We have 5 inches in Woodbridge. Don't know how the main roads look yet.
Our street hasn't been touched. We are not concerned thou. Got Wood stove,
oil lamps, and hubby's scotch. Keep warm and safe everyone.

HI, folks,
Here's how it looked on the Northern Neck about two hours ago....8" & still
coming.
Any other reports from around the region?? (If we didn't have to drive to
the other side of the No Neck ?(1hr 45 min to go 30 m i....!) to feed the
horses, I never would have ventured out....;^)

Elle,
I'm happy to report that Anderson, SC is on the southern edge of the storm.
Some freezing rain and drizzle, but just fifteen miles north of us they
are getting snow.

You've got more than we do. I'd say we have 4" or so and the wind is
really blowing (along with the snow). It's the 17 degrees that is
harder to take than the snow. We head south for a few weeks shortly.
Looks like we'll be dewinterizing the trailer or NC, or GA or......

I took some pictures for another Rhodie, thought I'd send them to the list.
It was a simple solution and works quite well.

An even simpler solution is a standard soft goods warehouse storage basket
used for manual stacking. They come with either solid sides or open net.
>From about mid-cockpit back, they slide right under the bench when no one
is
sitting on the bench. The locking flange of the basket bottom is exactly
the height of the cockpit sole above the under-bench floor. Thus, even in
an extreme heel, the baskets won't slide out as long as someone is sitting
on the bench. If you must sit on the rail, slide the baskets forward under
the bench where the height of the bench above the sole is about an inch
less.

About 6" here in Hillsville, VA where we're spending the night. These
southerners are such wimps about a little white stuff. Only our last
restaurant choice on the hotel list is open. It is a Chinese buffet that is
a real gem we would never have attempted otherwise. So I guess that's a
silver lining under the snow or something.
