Thanks for the tip, but the plastic plumbing do-hicky works great and is
tiny for storage.

No...but an old-fashioned bicycle pump does a marvelous job of blowing them
out...just stuff the hose (cut the coupling off) down the hole & push some
air down there.

Re scuppers in the Rhodes... I hope Stan isn't monitoring, but its my
feeling that those going through the transom from the benches are too
small... Mine get clogged frequently... in fact I carry a plastic plumbing
wirey thing on board to clean them out with.  Has anyone besides me ever
thought to enlarge them?

Try looking at scuppers thru the transom (these are the cockpit drainage 
holes).  My became cracked, and, while above the waterline, took in a lot of

water.
