No shame in Ginger Beer as a mixer.  The spicier, the better.  If I get one
that doesn't have enough bite, I've been known to add a dash of elixir g

The proper recipe for a "dark & stormy" is 4oz Goslings Black Seal Rum, and
4oz of Ginger Beer, and every night between Memorial Day and Labor Day is a
"Dark & Stormy" night as far as I am concerned.

(I know, Rummy, I know,...... your recipe would leave out the ginger beer).
