[Rhodes22-list] Extra ballast

I've been a little concerned because my R22 has been laying pretty bow down in her slip. Upon further investigation I found a lot of extra lead ballast stuffed under the second battery and in a hatch in the head. I've attached a few pictures. Has anyone seen this before and is there any reason I should leave it there?
