Philip and I currently sail our Rhodes 22 on the Chesapeake Bay and Potomac

That's the official backstay adjuster and I use that as well. I run both
lines down to a set of cleats mounted on the outside corners of the transom.

Le Menagerie has spent her entire life in the salt. Nowadays she is being
used as a teaching vessel in the lower Laguna Madre (where the majority of
her life has been led). We have been attached to her since 2004, and
although much of our sailing occurs aboard our Pearson, she is still a
beloved member of our family.,

Hi all:
I'm curios, how many people sail their R 22's on lakes, and how many in
the ocean (not Blue Water) bays and coastal areas?
Stan what was your original thoughts when you had the boat designed way
back when?
Did you envision the R22 to be used mainly in lakes or oceans?
Thanks for the info

I had originally planned to do a fleet sail with Caesar et al in mid June of
last year in the San Juans. Truck and boat problems did not allow that. A
few weeks later in July my wife and I took our '83 Rhodes on a trip through
the San Juans and along a bit of coast of the Canadian island of Vancouver
for about a week or so. She flew home and I was joined by my Sister and her
husband and their friend for another week of sailing in the San Juans. What
a great 2 weeks!

I finally got around to putting the trip in smaller PDF packets, hope it
works.

I'll send them in sets of about 4 pages, view them as full screen or larger
if possible. Hope you enjoy, I know I did.

consonants. Think I need to work on this.

Hey Chris,

You did nothing wrong! They look great! I assembled them back into a
single pdf and will read every word later this morning. It is just
beautiful!

Interesting because I could read 2 of them. One of the others had
captions but scrambled text and the other 2 had pictures but
scrambled text. Very strange but I'm looking forward to seeing the rest.

Chris da Greek,

...and da Cruiser and da Photographer! Incredible pictures! The one
with your Rhodes framed in tree branches is going to be my new
screensaver.

Elton used carpet remnants to protect my boat while trailering. You
need to secure Raggedy Ann with a "Baby on Board" bumper sticker.

Thanks for sharing!

Nicely done and they all look fine to me. Checked with both Mac and

Fred and I had exactly the same experience with the pdf files. The
scrambled ones were scrambled the same way on each of our computers:
Mostly "b's" on one, "s's" on another, etc. 2 came through fine, 2
were scrambled except the pictures and 1 scrambled except the
pictures and captions. Fred's emails go through our cable provider
