Elle,

Very disconcerting event.  Was the bullet found?

Hey, Chris,
Haven't had a chance to weigh in on the travelogue....I just had a moment to glance at the first one...good stuff & will get to more in a few days.....love the pix, (of course!).
Right now the police & I are trying to figure out how a .380 bullet found its way through the side of my house into my office. It blew a .75 x 1.75 hole in the steel filing cabinet against the wall...after going through the siding & the wall.....if that hadn't been there, & if I had been sitting here at the time, the next stop would have been me.
Anyone wanna come visit?

Thanks Bob,
I don't know if "brave" is the right word, maybe lucky, or
crazey.  It was such a nice sail that we are doing it again this summer.  I
will avoid sailing in the fog so we will have a lot more "padding" days in
the itinerary.

Chris,

Great story - thanks for sharing it with us.  The fog sounds difficult-my
brother-in-law who races his J-109 out of Annapolis will not sail in Maine
because the fog is too much of a PITA so you are a brave soul for venturing
out in the San Juans.
