[Rhodes22-list] Cotter pins vs. rings

Mathew,

I use a combination of all of the above and have found it necessary to do so. I use the cotter rings, check them before every sail since we have had them work there way out even with the covers. We also put stainless steel wire through the turnbuckle screw and around the outside, because we have also had them loosen. I love the PVC covers with the cap as Mary Lou described. My sheets still get caught at the bottom of the covers at the chain plate too. Would love to know where the rigging tape goes to prevent that, Can't picture it.
