The cockpit drains on the older Rhodes were 1/2".  I believe the drains on
the newer ones are 1" for just the reasons you state. - rob

Re scuppers in the Rhodes... I hope Stan isn't monitoring, but its my
feeling that those going through the transom from the benches are too
small... Mine get clogged frequently... in fact I carry a plastic plumbing
wirey thing on board to clean them out with.  Has anyone besides me ever
thought to enlarge them?
