Chris,

Probably not much help but in 2005 Stan gave me an upside down Coleman ice
chest:

As a daysailor I just use it to store nonrefrigerated liquor and water.
Cold food and drink come on and off the boat each trip which is good because
it limits the amount of food and alcohol I can consume on a three-hour
cruise.

Even if I were overnighting the Rhodes' icebox doesn't seem like one of
Stan's best ideas. It does have its advantages but you have to haul the
stuff on board with a cooler so why not just keep the stuff in that cooler?
Some sailboats even have the cooler perform double-duty as a companionway
step and others have designated spaces for standard coolers.

But then if my beer ain't cold I still drink it.

Next time I get to my boat I'll check to see if there's a manufacturer on my
icebox. I believe I have the same configuration as Cowie with regard to the
plastic container with the spigot on the bottom. Geoff
