I had the 1987 version Coleman box. I remove that box and replaced it with a soft sided cooler on wheels. Sam's club version. It works quite well. It has a water pack in the lid.

Inside the ice box is a removable plastic tub with a spout to drain water as the ice melts, elevated on two horizontal metal bars. I believe the plastic tub had an ikea sticker on it. Sounds like you might want to replace the entire ice box and I don't know who makes it however there have been a few discussions about refrigerators on the list that might be helpful. I keep a block of ice in a thermal bag in an inexpensive plastic bin in the bottom of the box. The plastic bin keeps melting ice water from leaking out through the bottom of the ice box door.
