[Rhodes22-list] Murphy's Law (SLIM)

Hey Slim:

I got the crutch and the bale from Stan this year.  Last year, when I retired from career "A" and moved south to begin career "B," my original intention was to leave the boat in the water, so there would have been no need to lower and raise the mast. But as the immortal Robert Burns wrote :

"The best laid schemes o' mice and men
Gang aft agley,"
And lea'e us nought but grief an' pain
For promis'd joy."      ("To A Mouse," 1785)

(Our best plans often go to sh--, and our high hopes are dashed.)

So, wanting to prove Mr. Burns right, we are now moving from NC back to PA... to rethink career "B."  I had considered the option of a new slide for the pop top.  But pension money is still tight.  I believe I'll be able to make the damage secure enough to pass muster.  Good looks might take a back seat.  It will be a good reminder of my past mistakes.  By next May, I will have it behind me and be sailing on the Chesapeake.  See ya around, & thanks.

Joe

Joe, can you simply get a replacement pop top slider from Stan?  I don't
exactly remember how it's attached to the mast extrusion, but have you asked
Stan?
