[Rhodes22-list] Bilge pump

Charles,

I put an Atwood pump in my bilge just before the keel trunk when I started
keeping the boat in the water. That was 12 or so years ago and it is still
ticking. I like the integrated float because is offers some protection
against debris.

As for size, I'd get the biggest one that will fit under the cabin sole.
The hardest part of putting in a pump is running the hose out to a
through-hull. If you have a sink drain, that's the logical place to tie
in. Just be sure you prevent siphoning water into the boat when the
through-hull is under water.
