Yes, I knew that. An evolutionary "dead end" but damned interesting. I recommend a book by Homer K Smith, KAMONGO, or The Lungfish and the Padre. BTW, I didn't know they're found outside Africa, so thanx.

Lungfish can only be found in Africa, South America and Australia.

I took  these pictures of our lake this morning. We are  currently within a 
  
tenth or so of reaching the 10 foot mark. It  reminds me of what we  went 
through  three years ago when the lake  dropped more than  23 feet.
