Hi, Mary Lou,

The workshop is the weekend prior to Thanksgiving ...Nov 18-20 (Fri-Sun).

Your idea of leaving a day early was actually my first idea...the motel isn't bad for out of season, so that is not a factor.....I just thought leaving early would work just as well.....

I do appreciate the invite, by the way.....

I still have time to decide, so I'll just sit on it for a while.

Hi elle,
What day of the week? Holiday weekend?

I don't really know about that section at that hour either but if no
one can give a first hand idea, check Google Maps Traffic. You can
type in Waldorf, MD and then click on traffic and get a real-time
look at conditions (you'll have to get up early to check of course).
It's not always very accurate but might give you a ballpark idea.

Personally, I'd be tempted to leave a day early, spend part of the
day poking about the Eastern Shore (either route would take you by
some pretty interesting places) take an extra night at the hotel,
spend the morning poking about Chincoteague (another great spot) and
then arrive for the photo weekend refreshed. OR take an extra day,
drive an hour and a half out of your way and drop in on some friends
in Rock Hall, who would be happy to put you up overnight (if it's a
day when they are home ;-) )
