Hey Rob that is a real deal,
I had 1976, #231 and it took me to the Bahamas for 3 months
and everywhere on the Chesapeake from the C&D to VA Beach. 1976 was a good
year as far as I'm concerned.

Hey all, looking for a good Rhodes sail boat? This is the end of season,
pre storage season discount price for 2 weeks only. Now only $1800. I'm
pulling in two weeks and will store for the winter, at which time the price
is going back up. Save me the effort of storing for the winter and save
$200.

Think about it. The motor by itself is $1400 and the trailer is $700 (if
you can find one). So you're getting a sail boat for free! - Rob

Getaway, our 1976 Rhodes 22, is on the market. We'll still be sailing, but
that will be on our recently purchased 1992 Rhodes refurbished in 2006 (and
sitting on the hard for the past three years). But more on the new boat
later.
Getaway, although she's a '76 model, is not a project boat. She's sitting
at the marina now and we sailed her last weekend. Getaway has:
Standard original main (RC 249)
Standard original hank on jib
2003 8hp 4 stroke Tohatsu motor with recent carburetor rebuild (long story).
Runs excellent
1976 (assumed) Traid trailer with tongue extension. New wheel bearings
2010.
Single 12V battery with solar panel charger.
No bimini or pop top enclosure. These are moving to the new boat.
White topsides with blue bottom paint. Could probably use a new coat. A
few spider web cracks.
Standard GB cabin layout with settee cushions, V berth, porta potti, sink,
etc. No stove or water tank.
Cockpit cushions.
She's not a perfect boat. But she's also 35 years old. Show me a perfect
35 year old.
You heard my stories about popped mast steps and pulled stays. But she's
all repaired and ready to go.
I have, surprisingly, few photos of the boat but will take and post some,
attached are the two I have.
This your opportunity to buy a sailable (today) Rhodes 22!
Located in SW Virginia. Call me at 540-320-0369 to discuss further. - Rob
