[Rhodes22-list] Chainplate reinstallation

Here is a picture of where the chain plate is originally mounted.  You can sort of tell where the location is by the location of the cabin light. You can't tell a whole lot by the photo, but I cut an access hole in my cabin top liner to examine the damage when mine pulled.  The chain plate enters the cabin top and is bent at a 90 degree angle towards the centerline of the boat.  It is mounted to the plywood shown with a single (maybe two, I only found one) wood screw.  While Ron chose to replace the wood and reinstall the chain plate in the original location, I went with the cabin side mount. - rob
