Photos always help.
What Rummy sent you was the stringer diagram. Hopefully your stringers are in place!
Yes, you will need a compression post under the mast to transfer loads to the keel.
Lee (picture yourself here one day) has been kind enough to show how the furling lines (in red) run for a furling jib. Note the traveler bar (red lines along side) alongside the stern rail. If you don't have a traveler bar you probably have the wire traveler. I have photos of the setup for a wire traveler which I will post. - rob

Thanks for reply. Standard Main. The jib has a aluminum pole (1 1/4
inch) about 24 feet long that attaches to the top of the mast and the lower
end of the pole has a 5 inch diameter disc. Out of the center of the pole
and disc the stay wire has 3, rollers on the stay. Then the stay is taped
to the mast. I have never used a furling jib. I do not think it is all
there? Seems like there should be a reel to contain a rope that is used to
pull out the jib?
There is no traveler bar that I can detect. I live on Sebago Lake
in Maine.
There is no interior except the V berth and the electrical board and
2 pieces of concrete ballast. I bought it as a project for the winter. I
know I need a structural and bearing wall/ framing under the mast step. I
am trying to develop the plan for floor elevations to get started on the
design and construction in the cabin. I would like to get all the framing
in the floor and the walls and the countertop and the table area done. The
hull is in good shape and about ready to paint. There are many little
cracks in the fiber glass finish in the deck that I wish to fix and repaint.

First off, congratulations! Second, standard main or IMF? Any idea what
furling jib you have? And how about the traveler (what the rear of the boom
will tie too). Do you have a traveler bar (3/4 foot length of metal bar) or
a wire traveler (looks like the metal rigging). I've got a 76 standard mast
with standard jib. Where are you located? Maybe you are near one of us. -

I have just purchased a Rhodes 22 1978. I am looking for information on how
to rig the mast and boom and how the furler for the jib works? Is there any
information you can point me too? Also are there specific plans for the
