Went to a business conference on Friday which included two hours of sailing.
More honestly I went sailing on Friday which included some bogus business
conference as an excuse:

Two identical sailboats racing each other with about 40 nonsailors on each
boat. Aside from the captain I was the only one interested in taking the
helm of our boat (Woodwind II from the movie "The Wedding Crashers") and we
lost terribly. Obviously it was the professional captain's fault. Loads of
fun (partially because of loads of alcohol) despite torrential downpours
almost the entire time--I've never been so wet for so long. The Naval
Academy's big sailboats and a professional IRC team (very impressive!) were
the only idiots out aside from our group with our nonrefundable excursion
fees.

As much fun as it was to sail these boats you can't imagine how much work it
is to raise and lower and constantly adjust four big nonfurling sails.
Really made me appreciate our Rhodes.

Forgot my camera which may have been a good thing. Don't know if any
cameras were broken from the rain but quite a few cell phones died.
