Joe
I still have the jib that hanks on plus I like to lean against the life
lines while under sail
The boat is in a slip in Bay Shore NY and we sail the great south bay of
long island
Thanks to all the listers who responded I appreciate all the shared
knowledge
Dave

Dave:

Welcome to the list and congrats on your boat. I am only a two year
owner, myself.

On lifelines: I have no lifelines on my recycled '87. I think the lack
of them makes movement forward much easier. Anyway, with the self furling
genny, there is not not much reason to go forward under sail.

On the front ports: my boat came with the opening ports. It also came
with snap-on covers that can be adjusted to allow air to circulate, but
generally exclude the water. I took the covers off once. The wells filled
up with water, but none leaked into the cabin. I drained them, reinstalled
the covers and never looked back.

On Travellers: I have the old cumbersome line managed traveller. I
want to install a track and car as a replacement. Check the list for this
variation. Where do you sail?

Stay wet!
