[Rhodes22-list] Chesapeake Cruise planning

Hi Joe,
I'm familiar with the trail. In 2007, some folks sailed a "replica"
of the John Smith shallop from Jamestown to the head of the Bay to
honor the 400th anniversary of the voyage and to help inaugurate the
trail. The shallop was built in Chestertown (not far from us in Rock
Hall) and some of the crew were local folks. They made a stop in Rock Hall.

I followed your link and found the Boater's Guide to the Trail which
looks interesting. The photo on the cover was taken on that voyage.

I would encourage you to bring your boat if you can. A Rhodes 22 is
idea for exploring the Chesapeake. You could take a lifetime and
never see it all. We'll be just skimming the surface on this trip.
We've been sailing this part of the Bay since 2000 and there are lots
of places we've never been. Part of the problem is that there are so
many favorite places you want to go back to.

If the timing of our trip moves and doesn't work for you we should
still try to meet up sometime. There is quite a group of Rhodies in the area.
