[Rhodes22-list] Interior finish

The results are beautiful. What brand teak oil? What kind of maintenance do you anticipate?

I've planned to eventually lay on multiple coats of Awlbrite clear acrylic urethane, possibly over a coat of Awlbrite spar varnish (which is amber). They recommend 7-10 thin coats of the urethane. I'd like to do some experimenting first, but the stuff is godawful expensive.

A while ago someone on the list inquired about the finish Stan was using
for the interior wood on his newer boats. Mine was a warm-looking brownish
color. I wanted to protect the companionway step because of the beating
that it takes, so, I masked it off and applied teak oil. I liked it so much
I did the whole interior.
