[Rhodes22-list] I'm Wet! (no sex)

Bob:

Yes, I agree, but my boat was just recycled two years ago, and these connections look fine.  Anyway, there was not a drop of water in the laz.  I have decided to simply accept the occasional wetness and carry-on. Thanks.

>I have not been following this very closely so I apologize if I am duplicating.  There is a hose that connects the cockpit drain through the Laz to the actual overboard drain.  Over time that hose can deteriorate  to the point that it needs to be replaced - or at the least - the clamps may need to be replaced or tightened.  It can explain the water in the Laz.  Whether this water can then seep through to the bilge, is something that I cannot answer.

So, your experienced advice is to say: "The water is your friend and your enemy; strike a balance!"  I like that philosophy.  Like Poor Richard Saunders (aka Ben Franklin) I should expect the worst; and when the worst happens... I am not surprised.  When the worst doesn't happen... I am ahead of the game. My new mantra.  Thanks.
