I suppose the centerboard hose is a possibility. But there were (I've upped my estimate) over thirty gallons of water I pumped overboard. The pennant hose may have accounted for some of that, but not all. I am convinced that the water found a variety of sources of ingress. However it got in, the ultimate conclusion remains unchanged... I have to deal with the situation, now and in the future.
By the way (anyone) I am trying to wire a small bilge pump for use when I am off the boat. I want to plug it into my 12v power point with a cigarette lighter plug, but I can't get it to power up. There are three leads off the pump: a red, a black and brown, and there are no wiring instructions in the package. I assume that the brown is for an external switch, which I won't need, since the pump has a self contained float switch . But the pump seems to want something besides red and black to make it perform. Any ideas? Thanks.
