I recall somewhere that the SPF of that material is very low. Does anyone
know what it is? I know the fabric itself has been treated to stand up to
the UV but what kind of protection does in provide? Just curious.

Hi Rummy!
Perhaps you or some of the other Rhodes Owners would be interested in
exploring the use of new, UV treated Rip-stop nylon spinnaker cloth ,
translucent, various colors and wts. for this or other uses. Sunbrella is

opaque, and would have a greater life span.... HOWEVER, my price is less
than 10% the cost of sunbrella per yard. If it is used for just periods of
boat use, it should be as durable as a moderate/heavy wt. spinnaker. I
also have light wt. spinnaker cloth available, for sails, wind breakers,
bags, etc..
If anyone is seriously interested they could contact me for samples of
material, color, wt, solid brass grommets, etc... .

This one got through. What keeps the shade from tilting and falling into
