Joe,

I had a similar issue at the start of the season. My problem turned out to
be trash in the tube that runs the line to the centerboard, which also
does double duty as a drain from the cockpit. I used a small electrical
wire puller. Once I got the clog broken up it worked much better and
after a few launches it seems to be back to normal.
I hope your problem is as easy to fix.
