The R22 we acquired had the whole thing torn out of the cabintop. The opening is over the airspace of the cabin top walls. So we removed the port to look into that airspace. We discovered that we can slip a block of core material about 5" x 5" x about 5/8" into that space, epoxy of course and through bolt into the cabin. If anyone is interested we will post pics of the process. The airspace is mentioned under the "Construction" title on the GB website discussion.

The measurement of the one surviving lower shroud is about 140 " but I have seen another post quoting 144" excluding the turnbuckle. We need to find one and confirm the correct length.
