Graham:  You can probably order the UHMWPE from the factory.  They are maintenance free.  Our '89 had teak but our '2000 has the UHMPWE all the way around so maintenance is just hosing down the boat.

My 88 model has the teak sliders which require attention from time to time, 
but I like the look of wood. The newer boats come with UV stabilized  
UHMWPE.

Aside from Stan, I'm thinking  you might have more years sailing a Rhodes
than anyone else on this  list.  If you retired back in the early 80s you
might even be older  than Stan!  :)
