I agree and expect to include a latch.  The drawers come with a nice easy glide self retracting feature that would be lost if I make them too snug.

I'm sure you guys have thought of this but you won't want your drawers to
slide even a little as the boat heels back and forth.  Might be able to fit
the drawers in snug enough but probably much easier to install some type of
latch.
