[Rhodes22-list] Rudder attachment

Joe,
The pin is worn as it did not completely extend through both holes of the transom mounting bracket. The bottom hole is smaller than the top hole, so the pin was unsupported on one end. This allowed the rudder attachment point to flop around and wear the groves shown in the pin. I believe I'm going to drill out the smaller bracket hole so that they are the same size and then you a larger diameter fast pin. Hopefully that will firm up the tiller operation. Too much play in it last year as the top attachment point was loose. - rob

Ron:

Is that pin worn, or is it machined?  The grooves look pretty regular.
