We're on our way now. With the weather what it is, I plan to spend most of
my time at the show on Sunday.

Rob,

It did seem that the SML area is popular judging by the number of houses and
boats we saw just from the SML State Park area we were in. And the size of
some of those houses... too much for me- I'll be looking for something
small and easy to keep so we can spend our time in other ways. Will say hi
to Stan for all the Rhodies. It's been kind of a bummer with the weather
just not cooperating - rain every day so far, but as a casual observer said,
rain is just a excuse for all the sailboaters to walk up and down the
streets in their fancy foul weather gear like fashion models. I about fell
on the floor when I heard that, but there is lot of nice boats with nice
prices to attract lots of $ (walking to our booth I saw a Jeanneau 50 (?)
for around $500k and there are others north of that. Our boats show real
well with a new Rhodes, a recycled '98, and an as is '82 (to show what they
look like before they're recycled) on display. Now we need the rain to stop
to bring people out so Stan's spirits are lifted. We have had some good
folks come by that appreciate the Rhodes and have expressed strong interest
and will be visiting Stan soon. Chris Cowie and I have taken a few of them
out for a demo sail out in the Annapolis Harbor with rain, winds 10-15
gusting to 20+ and while wet, it's been a blast to get some sailing in.
Well gotta go, back to the Really Big Shoe (as Ed Sullivan would say) and it
being Saturday we are really expecting more traffic and are looking to
expand the fleet of happy Rhodies! Keep the beer cold.
