[Rhodes22-list] The Curse of Ethanol

Art,

I know of one marina that sells non-ethanol gasoline in Deale, MD. Last
spring Fawcett Marine in Annapolis was considering obtaining and selling
non-ethanol fuel. I am sure that there are other marinas in the area that
sell non-ethanol fuel. I know a lot of people with outboards who are
desperate to find non-ethanol because they are tired of the problems it
brings.

I have not noticed any running difference on my Mercury 4 Stroke 9.9 hp
engine. It starts right up. I can take it up to full throttle and it runs
like a dream. I only experienced the motor being run on traditional auto
gas once and that was during the test sail I took before I purchased the
boat and while that was over a year ago. I think the engine runs fine with
av gas.

I have had not problems with the motor using av gas, but now that I have
written those words on the electronic page I suppose I'll have problems the
next time I go to start the engine.
