I know the area well. Traveled up there for years when I was still working.
We were in Wisconsin a couple of weeks ago and it was cold. Lower 70's
during the day and 40's at night. We came home with two head colds.

Linville Land Harbor, just outside of Linville and Newland. Just a few
miles from Grandfather Mountain and just off the Blue Ridge Parkway. We are
right at 4 thousand feet, no comparison to the Rockies, but cool
none-the-less. Great place to avoid the heat and humidity of Florida, not to
mention hurricanes or the heat of SC. Our daughter and family were up from
Abbeville this past weekend and loved the cool air.

Cheers, Bob
